Brad Anderson has been broadcasting sports since 1998, with over 2500 play-by-play broadcasts to his credit. He grew up in Lisbon, where he got his start in radio while in high school. It was there he had his first opportunity at play-by-play, working with long-time voice Bruce Dougherty. He is a 1998 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead. He worked at radio stations in Litchfield, Minnesota and Marshall, Minnesota before returning to the area in 2006. While in Minnesota, he was honored with awards from the Minnesota Associated Press, and Northwest Broadcast News Association for his play-by-play work. In 2017, he received First Place in Sports Play-by-Play from Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. He also received an Award of Merit from the North Dakota High School Coaches Association, and was named North Dakota Sportscaster of the Year from the National Sports Media Association.
Brad has been with 103.9 The Truck since 2010, broadcasting area high school football, volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball. He also does some work for NDSCS in Wahpeton, broadcasting Wildcats’ football and basketball. He also has enjoyed the opportunity to fill-in on broadcasts for NDSU basketball and F-M RedHawks baseball.
Brad lives in Fargo with his wife Kathleen, and daughter Rachel.
